In a previous post I mentioned my deep love of ’60s/’70s sports cars. I grew up in a time of fantastic concept cars that adorned walls of teenage boys and men all over the world. Cars had shapes that I don’t think are as common anymore and while the odd LMP1 car can be quite stunning, none have quite the same appeal of the cars of yesteryear.
I came across this book while flicking through a car mag in the UK and thought the article I was reading was about a real car, such was the quality of the image I was seeing. The creator and author of this book is Daniel Simon, a man of immeasurable talent, whose work has been seen in such films as Captain America, Oblivion and I guess most notably the recent Tron movie. He’s designed all sorts of automotive filth for the aforementioned movies and has now been charged with designing Lotus’s new motorcycle project.
I challenge you all not to be smitten by the contents of this book and his work as a whole. I’ve preordered the book which is due to be launched early next month and I can’t wait to get my grubby mits on it.
